In A Great Disruption, Sijia Chen presents a collaborative study of migration in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. The artist invited the Asian community to share material related to their experience of the pandemic, which she used to create papercut images of architectural and natural scenes. The collage forms an image that both emulates and disrupts the aesthetic of traditional Chinese landscape paintings.
